We had a short recess and returned with Deputy Attorney General Julie H. China. She tried to defend the ridiculousness of issuing the permit and then having the hearing. Hawai'i Supreme Court Judges don't seem to be buying it. Justice Pollack really thought about what would've happened if they needed to revoke this permit they keep claiming was only a preliminary conditional permit. Based on the BLNR rules they would not have been able to revoke the permit had UH not prevailed, and the only way to do so would've been through the courts. So this preliminary conditional permit seems pretty final to anyone paying attention to the facts, which thankfully includes all 5 of today's Judges. #BABcourtreport #TMTshutdown #protectmaunakea
